This quilt is so amazing I took some close up pictures so that you can appreciate all that has gone into this quilt and what it will mean to this family. Here we have his favorite cap, and camoflauge pants, also how about those favorite moccasins he wore around the house everyday!
this picture you get a full view of that shoe. (who can sew a shoe into a quilt? Carol Reid can and will!)
Looks like he's been to the Hard Rock Cafe in Singapore. More camoflauge pants. Lets scroll down and take another look.
Now the next picture you see will be the actual T-shirt with the flannel shirt over it along with the tongue of the boots he was wearing and don't forget the shoe lace is there too! Now I have seen and quilted alot of T-shirt quilts, memory quilts with pictures, but I have never quilted one that had the T shirt with the flannel shirt and the collar and buttons still attached.
I guess there is a first time for everything! This quilt had it all. From head to toe, shoes, jeans, t shirts, camo, badges and patches even a spot where he had dropped a cigarette on his pants and burnt a hole in them and yes the burned hole is there I just stitched around it. After all I am sure there is a story for that too.
Now if YOU have memories you want to save, special memories you want to share and keep forever. Scroll down and take a look at the t-shirt and flannel shirt along with the boot!
Start thinking about saving all those t-shirts your special someone is wearing
everyday, how about those shoes with the holes in the toes, or the soles wore out
you may want to preserve all those special items for your own memory quilt. These quilts make great graduation gifts too. Combine t-shirts with pictures. You have t-shirts from the football game, how about a picture of you and all your friends at that game, a band t shirt, pictures of the band, graduation picture, piece of that prom dress, cheerleading outfit. Don't know how or where to get started?
Think Carol Reid, she is waiting to take your order! Drop me an email at mburnette912@bellsouth.net and I will gladly forward your email to Carol. She will contact you with what she will need to get your special memory quilt started just for you. What I should say is not only for you, because you will treasure this quilt for years to come and it will be looked at, talked over for generations to come. A priceless gift for anyone!
