memory quilt

Carol Reid brought me this quilt to quilt for her this past week. It amazes me the sheer talent this woman has to peice anything into a quilt and get everything to line up and most importantly to lay nice and flat so that I can quilt it. Carol explained to me that she had a dear friend who had a family member pass away. This friend wanted something she could display to represent the person who had passed away. Carol not only took the mans favorite clothing, hats and shoes but also the clothing he was wearing the day he passed away and put them into this quilt. I was amazed at the workmanship, and I know her friend and their family will treasure this quilt forever.
