Came out just beautiful when it was all said and done. wow! What a super long time since I updated these pages! We did go on vacation and ended up staying a little longer than expected. I know that is not an excuse! Lets start with pictures of all the quilts, I started quilting as a hobby I loved, and decided to start a small home business and ended up so busy that my hobby went by the wayside. I am determined to get it back though! I know your thinking where are the pictures already, well here they come~

Halloween, right around the corner!
Have you ever had one of those days where everything seems to be going wrong? Well thats how today has been for me. I think I got up on the wrong side of the bed or something. I burned the toast for breakfast, broke a dish at lunch, tried to sew my finger down with the machine, then the thread wanted to break every few inches and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse in walked Margaret with these to fun quilts. I needed something to make me smile and these certainly did it. I love the Alexander Henry fabrics and I am told that even though they are last years line they are still available. I think I hear them calling my name. Yep I have to go online and order a few of these. I still have time to make something before Halloween gets here!
Pin wheels, Pinwheels and more Pinwheels! A quilt that reminds me of yesturday! I love 30's fabric. You can put any of them together add a few borders and they always look wonderful! Susan Stone made this one for a member of her family and brought it to me this past weekend to quilt for her.
I can't wait to see what she walks in with next!

I have been a busy little beaver. I jsut got back from a trip to Valdosta's Wild Adventure's Park with my grandchildren. We had so much fun but guess who was so involved in getting sunscreen on them taht I forgot myself! Yikes!!
I met the challenge and made not one but two wall hangings out of my Lakeside Lodge scraps! I have one of them quilted with the binding on. so I can show you that one now and when I get the second one quilted I will post it also. Never guess what else popped into the shop but another quilt made with the 4 inch squares. Now that I have seen three of them. I think I will start cutting my scraps into strips and squares and when I get a bag full just start sewing them all together and see what pops!

Oh look what we have here! Kathy came by to pick up her last quilt made of all those 4 inch squares she was getting each month as a member of the fabric lovers club, and in her hand is yet another one. Just goes to show you, when it comes to matching those fabrics we really can put anything together with a black background, add a border, and it will all come together for a beautiful quilt.
So come on grab those scraps and start sewing. I challenge each and every one of you to make just one quilt with all those left overs we can't stand to through away but you didn't know what you were saving them for in the first place. Before I forget Kathy has one more of these to bring me next week!

We have a local quilt store that has a fabric lovers club where she will send us 24 little 4 inch squares of all the new fabrics that have came into her shop that month along with a pattern, quilt tips and a recipe. Just when I was wondering what I was going to do with all these 4 inch squares I have recieved for the past 2 years in walked one of my customers carring all her squares made into this beautiful twin size quilt. Now I know exactly what to do with them! So here is Kathy Deans 4 inch squares!
One UFO down and how many more to go...........? This was suppose to be the 2009 Thimbleberries, Lakeside Lodge block of the month finished at a queen size quilt. I started it back in 2009, got frustrated with the blocks, and through them all in a bag and to the back of the stash drawer it went. Two years later I found myself saying "What am I doing with all this stuff?" So here I go pulling it out thinking I am going to complete this thing.. NOT frustration that reminded me why I put this in the bag to start with soon set in. I decided to put together what I already had, add a border and get it completed, not a queen size but it is a nice throw and my son came out and quickly decided it was his. Mission accomplished. Now what to do with all the left over scraps. I'm working on that one now. lol.....
