Once again it's time for a quilt retreat. This weekend I am spending my time packing up my sewing machine, supplies and doing the preliminary cutting of a couple of projects to take to the Friendship Quilters Retreat. 24 of us will depart at 5:30am Thursday morning, (yes, you read that right, 5:30 in the morning)! Most of us don't even think about rolling over much less be up, showered, dressed and in the car by then. But remember this is a Quilting Retreat, there is nothing to get us going then the thought of a few days out of the way with no interruptions from our sewing. We will return Sunday Evening. A friend from work has requested that I make a baby quilt for her so that will be my top priority next weekend. I also will be taking some wonderful fall colored fabrics purchased online from The Fat Quarter shop. Beautiful tans, oranges and browns will make a fall throw for those cool nights as we move into fall. I'm off to get ready, but not for long, I will be back with pictures from the retreat!
