Ok, It's time to give your opinion here! This is the picture of the challenge fabric for next years Jacksonville Quilt Show. We were given a 1/2 yard of the focus fabric and a fat quarter of two other coordinating fabrics. We are to make a quilt no larger than a total of 110 inches (all four sides together can not total more than 110 inches). The title of the quilt is " Two birds of a feather quilt together". We must use the fabrics provided in the quilt, but may add as many other fabrics as we wish. Any ideas out there!!!!!!!!! I fully intend on meeting this challenge and I need your help! Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a huge fabric, kit and pattern collector. I say collector because I buy what I want when I see it. I know that if I wait, it won't be there when I go back. How many times have we got home and said, "Darn, I should have bought that fabric, and then run back to the quilt shop only to find it gone?" Well not me, not anymore! I see it, like it, buy it, DONE! I have dozens of patterns and kits on my to do list, but then isn't that what quilters do. We love our fabrics and just can't resist buying just one more. I know each and everyone of you quilters reading this have fabric hiding all over the place. If your husband is anything like mine, he is always asking what I am going to do with all this fabric. I tell him I am saving for retirement! Seriously I always have good intentions on starting and completing all these projects. I just never seem to have enough time in the day. So for now I will continue to buy, work on what I can and remember that, "tomorrow is another day and retirement is just around the corner"!
